DIET = SCAMPosted on Friday Jan 6 17:42:00 UTC 2012 ![]() Happy New Year FitnessChicks!!! 2012 will be our year!! What have you got planned?? Made any New Year’s resolutions?? I have read so many diet plans, nutty de-tox plans and lots more rubbish us women seem to flock to at this time of year!! It's crazy if you think about it - if all these diets really worked and we really did lose all the weight then surely everyone would be doing it.... no?? Take these "diet tablets" or "herbal tablets" that I now see fitness instructors are selling - do we really know what we are putting in to our body and if they worked forever like they say they do then why isn't the doctor getting all the obese people that highlights our newspapers everyday on them?? ?xml:namespace> I personally and professionally don't agree with any of it. I think it's a numbers game now for a lot of these companies and they can not see the people past the dollar signs. I think these diet books which push you to eat large quantities of protein or no carbs is just plain stupid!! Why do I think it's stupid? Quite simply it's dangerous and not sustainable for life. These are quick fix and offer no real "feel good factor." for the people who want to lose weight. It might be a today fix but certainly won't be fixing your tomorrows!!

So this year - I am just all about the clean living, healthy eating, feeding my body all the nutrients it needs to keep going. I am eating my porridge, overdosing in veg and drinking loads of water. Chocolate, biccies and all things nice I hear you say??? In moderation quite simply, if I have eaten well that week then I have a treat. What you do is up to you, but please don't be victim to these diet scams - they don't work long term!! Healthy eating and exercise is the way to go.... eek that was a rant!! Love to hear what you think, Sarah xx |
